A quick and easy heart soap for Valentine’s Day or any time you want to treat your loved one to something special!
Note: we no longer sell the heart molds shown. You can replace them with other shapes or find heart molds online.

Supplies and equipment needed:
Microwave
Microwave safe glass container
Sharp knife to cut soap into cubes
Spray bottle with rubbing alcohol
Butter knife (for stirring soap)
Rubber gloves
Cheese Grater
Small Heart Silicone Mold (or any shape desired)
Large Heart Soap Mold (3, 4 oz cavities)
Disposable pipette
Thermometer
14 ounces Clear Melt & Pour soap base (divided)
Chunk of Shea Butter Melt & Pour soap base
Malibu Heat Fragrance Oil
Sangria Mica
0.15 scoops

Step 1
Take the chunk of Shea butter soap and carefully grate it using a cheese grater. Set aside for later. Shred enough to add to 3 of the Large Heart soap mold cavities.

Step 2
Using a .15cc scoop, add 3 scoops of Sangria Mica into a microwave safe glass container. For tips on how to incorporated Micas into soap, see our How To Use Mica Colorants In Soap tutorial.
Step 3
Cut up 14 ounces of Ultra Clear Melt and Pour soap base into small cubes using a sharp knife and add to your container. Melt the soap base in a microwave for 30 seconds. Repeat if necessary. Once melted, stir the soap slowly until all the mica is fully mixed in.
Step 4
Using a disposable pipette, add 4 ml of Malibu Heat Fragrance Oil to the melted soap and stir.

Step 5
Monitor the soap temperature – when it reaches about 140 degrees pour into 6 cavities of the small hearts mold. Spritz with alcohol and let set (approximately 10 minutes), remove from mold and set aside.

Step 6
Once the small hearts are ready, pour the red soap base into the mold working with one mold cavity at a time. Do not pour all the way up; leave approximately 1/4 inch space from the top of the cavity.

Step 7
Spritz with alcohol to remove any bubbles.

Step 8
Quickly take some of the Shea Butter soap shreds, spritz with alcohol and sprinkle on top of the red soap. Some will sink in – just keep adding until the top of the soap is covered.
Step 9
Taking 2 of the small hearts, spritz with alcohol and lightly press in at an angle. You want only the tip of the heart to go into the soap.

Step 10
Repeat the Steps 6 – 9 to make 2 more soaps.
Step 11
Melt 1 ounce of Ultra clear soap base using 15-second bursts in the microwave. Cool to about 130 degrees so you don’t melt the soap shreds.
Step 12
Spritz the heart soaps with alcohol and slowly pour a tiny bit of the melted clear soap over the top to help “glue” the shreds to the soap. Don’t pour on top of the hearts, just the shreds.

Step 13
Let the soap set approximately 3 hours.

Carefully remove from mold and enjoy!
