Ultra Clear Melt and Pour Soap base (40 ounces for loaf and 8 ounces for embeds)
White Melt and Pour Soap base (16 ounces for embeds)
Chunk of White Melt and Pour Soap base for grating
Bordeaux Mica
0.15cc scoop
Peppermint Swizzle Stick Fragrance Oil

Making Confetti embeds:
Step 1
Using a grater, shred an uncut chuck of white Melt and Pour soap base. Grate enough to fill the bottom of the Square Loaf Soap Mold. Set aside for later. Note: Please be careful as you get closer to the grater, those finger tips of yours are precious!

Making Peppermint Candy embeds:
For these embeds we are using the Silicone Square Loaf Soap Mold, but you can use any mold you have on hand. The amount of melt & pour soap base needed to make the embeds will vary with the type of mold you use.
Step 2
For the first layer, cut up 8 ounces of white Melt & Pour soap base into small cubes using a sharp knife. Using a microwave safe container, melt soap in a microwave using 30-second bursts until melted. Do not boil or burn.
Step 3
With a disposable pipette add 4 ml’s of Peppermint Swizzle Stick fragrance oil and stir.
Step 4
Monitoring the temperature, pour into the square loaf mold when the soap reaches about 135°F to 140°F (to avoid warping the mold). Spritz with alcohol to remove any bubbles and let set until layer is firm.

Step 5
For the second layer, using a 0.15cc scoop, add 4 scoops of Bordeaux Mica to a microwave safe container. Add several drops of alcohol to the mica and stir until mixed well.
Step 6
Add 8 ounces of cubed Ultra Clear Melt & Pour soap base to this container and melt soap in a microwave using 30-second bursts until melted and stir carefully until the mica is fully incorporated.
Step 7
With a disposable pipette add 4 ml’s of Peppermint Swizzle Stick fragrance oil and stir.

Step 8
Spritz the first layer with alcohol to help the layers adhere together and repeat Step 4 above, pouring on top of the first layer.

Step 9
For the 3rd and final layer, spritz with alcohol and repeat Steps 2 – 4.

Step 10
Let set until completely hardened and cool.
Step 11
Remove from mold and cut candy size pieces and set aside. Mix it up a bit, don’t cut them all the same size.

Making the loaf:
Step 12
Add 40 ounces of cubed Ultra Clear Melt &Pour soap base into a microwave safe container and melt the soap base in 30-second bursts. Stir then repeat until melted.
Step 13
This will be left clear. Add 10 ml of Peppermint Swizzle Stick Fragrance Oil and stir slowly. Monitor the temperature until it reaches about 135°F to 140°F. This will prevent the embeds from melting.

Step 14
Pour the soap into the square loaf soap mold about an inch high.

Step 15
Quickly spritz with alcohol the confetti embeds you made and add to the bottom of the mold. Fill up the bottom with these embeds and spritz with alcohol to remove any bubbles. Let set until firm.

Step 16
Spritz the confetti layer in the mold and the candy embeds with alcohol.
Step 17
Pour the remainder of the melted clear soap into the mold and start placing the peppermint candy embeds into the soap. Alternate pouring and adding embeds until you reach the top. Make sure you have some candy pieces sticking out at the top.

Step 18
Spritz with alcohol and let set for 24 hours.

Cutting the Soap:
The next day, slowly pull the sides away from the soap, turn over and while holding it with one hand, slowly press on the underside of mold to release the soap.
Cut the loaf with a soap miter box in 1-inch increments. This will yield approximately 9 bars of soap.
