Supplies and equipment needed
Medium to large mixing bowl
Spoons
Spatula
Measuring spoons (tablespoon)
Hand mixer
Rubber gloves
Zip lock bags
Squeeze bottles (2 oz size) 6 to 8
Digital Scale (not shown)
Disposable pipette
Foaming Bath Butter (16 oz)
Macintosh Apple Fragrance Oil
Gel Soap Colors in Magenta, Midnight Blue, Lemon Yellow, Orange, and Green.
Liquid Glycerin Soap Base (2 tablespoons)
Sweet Almond Oil (4 tablespoons)

gather supplies

Step 1
Using a scale, measure 16 oz. of Foaming Bath Butter base and place in the mixing bowl. Cut the base up using a spoon. The smaller pieces make it easier to begin whipping.

Step 2
Add 4 tablespoons of Sweet Almond Oil to the mixing bowl, this is approximately 1 oz. Note: Do not exceed the maximum amount of 2 ounces of carrier oil to Foaming Bath Butter base.

Step 3
Next, add 2 tablespoons of the Liquid Glycerin Soap base to the bowl.

Step 4
Using a hand mixer, begin to whip the base on low – as it becomes smoother and fluffier gradually increase to high. After 2 minutes, stop the mixer and scrape off the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula then continue to whip on high for another 2 minutes. You will notice that it begins to increase in volume. Check the mixture for any clumps, if needed, mix for another minute until it all becomes smooth.

Step 5
Using a disposable pipette, add 12ml (0.4 ounces) of the Macintosh Apple Fragrance Oil to the soap mixture and stir in with a spoon.

NOTE: You can use between 0.3 ounces (9ml) up to a maximum level of 0.5 ounces (14ml) of fragrance oil to this soap. Some fragrances are stronger than others so adjust accordingly to the strength of the fragrance oil.

Step 6
Using the hand mixer, mix on low until the fragrance is thoroughly incorporated (approximately 1 minute).

Step 7
Divide the mixture evenly between 6 Ziploc bags.

Step 8
Using the Midnight Blue Gel Soap Colorant, add 3 drops into one of the bags.

Step 9
Making sure the bag is securely closed; begin to knead the bag, mixing the color into the mixture until all color is evenly distributed.

Step 10
Continue with Step 9 using 5 more colors such as Magenta, Lemon Yellow, Orange, and Green (shown in this soap making tutorial).

Step 11
Cut a tiny bit off a corner of the bag and squeeze the mixture slowly into the bottle. Oh and a little warning, dispensing can be messy!
