I will be adding in some wonderful Dead Sea Salts for natural mineral goodness and an amazing spa scent call Sea Kelp. One whiff of this soap and you’re as good as there. Mothers Day is coming – pamper that special woman in your life with some of these wonderful bars!
Note: we no longer carry the clear mold shown in the photos. Our silicone mold will work even better and is linked below!

Supplies and equipment needed:
Microwave
Microwave safe glass containers
Sharp knife to cut soap into cubes
Spray bottle with rubbing alcohol
Butter knives for stirring soap
Rubber gloves
Disposable pipettes
Flexible 12 Bar Silicone Mold
Thermometer to monitor soap temperature
18 oz Ultra Clear Melt & Pour soap base
Gel Soap colorant in Teal
Sea Kelp Fragrance Oil
4 oz Coarse Grain Dead Sea Salts
Diamond Dust Glitter
.15 cc scoop
Step 1: Add about 2 – 3 scoops of Diamond Dust Glitter to your Dead Sea Salts and mix well. This adds a nice shimmery look to the soap.

Step 2: Cut up 18 ounces of Ultra clear Melt & Pour soap into small cubes using a sharp knife.
Step 3: Take about 2 ounces of the cubed soap and place in a microwave safe glass container. Melt in the microwave in 20-second bursts until melted. Do not burn or boil, this will result in a poor quality rubbery soap. Leave this uncolored and unscented.
Step 4: Pour a very thin layer of this clear soap into the bottom of each mold cavity. Spritz the soap with alcohol to get rid of any bubbles that formed while you were pouring. Let set.

Step 5: If you have any clear soap left over, add more cubes of the Ultra Clear Soap Base to this glass container until you have approximately 6 ounces of soap. Melt in the microwave using 30-second bursts. If there are any small chunks of soap left, stir slowly; the heat of the soap will melt these small chunks.
Step 6: Using a disposable pipette, add 1 ml of the Sea Kelp Fragrance Oil and 2 drops of Teal Gel Soap Colorant to the melted soap. Stir slowly to avoid making air bubbles in the soap.

Step 7: Let cool to about 125 degrees before pouring. This soap will be used to suspend the Dead Sea Salts in the soap and you don’t want the salts to melt.
Step 8: Spritz the clear layer of soap with alcohol to help the layers adhere together and slowly pour about 2 ounces of the teal soap into each cavity.

Step 9: Working quickly before the soap forms a hardened layer, add your shimmery Dead Sea Salts to this layer. The salts will sink into the soap. You can add as much or as little as you want. Spritz with alcohol to remove any bubbles. Let this layer harden up for about 2-3 minutes.

Step 10: Take the remainder of your cubed soap (which should be about 10 ounces) and melt in the microwave in 30-second bursts until melted. I wanted to make this layer a bit darker, so I added 4 drops of Teal Gel Soap colorant and 2 ml of the Sea Kelp Fragrance Oil. Stir slowly. Let cool to about 130 degrees.
Step 11: Spritz your salt layer with alcohol and slowly pour this last layer of soap into your cavities.

Step 12: Finish off with a final spritz of alcohol to remove any bubbles.
Step 13: Wait 2-3 hours for the soap to completely harden. Turn the mold over carefully and slowly press on the bottom of the cavity to release the soap. Do not force it. If the soap won’t come out, wait another 1/2 hour or so. You can even pop the soap in the freezer for 5 minutes then try again.

Enjoy your day at the beach!
